Freshii Sundance provides gluten-free catering for Calgary events, corporate functions, and group gatherings where some or all guests follow a gluten-free diet. Our menu is structured so that many core items — grain bowls with rice or quinoa bases, poke bowls, salads with GF-confirmed dressings, and cold-pressed juices — are naturally gluten-free without modification. This makes gluten-free catering significantly more practical at a Freshii event than at catering providers whose GF accommodation requires a fully separate menu.

How Our Menu Handles Gluten-Free

Gluten enters a menu primarily through three channels: grain bases (wheat, barley, rye), sauces and dressings (soy sauce, flour-thickened dressings), and bread and wraps (wheat-based tortillas). At Freshii Sundance:

Important disclosure: our kitchen is shared and is not a certified gluten-free facility. Cross-contamination risk exists. For guests with celiac disease requiring strict isolated GF preparation, we disclose this fully — our GF catering is appropriate for gluten sensitivity and preference but we do not represent it as safe for severe celiac requiring zero cross-contamination. Gluten-Free Catering Menu Options

GF Grain Bowl Platters and Boxed Bowls

Brown rice or quinoa base (both naturally GF) with GF-confirmed protein, fresh vegetables, and a GF dressing. The most practical GF catering format — every component is naturally or easily confirmed GF without a modified secondary menu. GF Salad Service

All-greens salad builds are naturally GF when croutons are excluded and dressings are confirmed GF. Our Fiesta Salad (greens, black beans, corn, avocado, tomato, lime dressing) and high-protein salad builds are naturally GF by composition. Kale Caesar requires dressing confirmation as Caesar dressing can contain gluten — specify GF dressing at booking for this build. GF Poke Bowls

Our poke bowl builds are naturally gluten-free when rice base and GF-confirmed sauces are used. Tuna or tofu poke on brown rice with edamame, avocado, cucumber, pickled ginger, and sesame — one of our most popular GF-friendly builds. Confirm ponzu and spicy mayo are GF versions at booking. A premium catering option that typically exceeds GF guests' expectations of "the gluten-free catering option."

GF Beverage Options

All of our cold-pressed juices are naturally gluten-free. Our smoothies are GF when made with GF protein powder (confirm at order). Adding a juice station or smoothie bar to your GF catering event provides a universally inclusive, premium beverage experience.

Managing a Mixed GF / Non-GF Event

For events with a mix of GF and non-GF guests, our catering setup is designed to handle this without a separate GF food table. During the booking process, provide the number of GF guests. GF individual boxed meals are labelled with a "GF" identifier so guests know which boxes are confirmed gluten-free. For build-your-own station events, GF ingredients are clearly labelled at the station, allowing GF guests to build their meal confidently from the main spread rather than a separate table. For GF guests with serious celiac sensitivity, we recommend pre-boxed individual meals over shared station builds to minimize cross-contact risk at the event.
